Holiday Celebrations

Being away from family, friends, and familiar traditions during major holidays can be tough. That’s why USO Kansas brings the spirit of celebration directly to our service members and their families—through fun, festive, and family-friendly events all year long!

Join us for our annual holiday-themed events designed to bring joy, connection, and a little extra comfort to our military community:

April – Month of the Military Child We celebrate our youngest heroes with a Purple Up Ice Cream Social! Kids (and parents) can create their own sundaes and enjoy a sweet treat—mess included, but don’t worry, we clean it up!

May – Military Spouse Appreciation Month Spouses are the backbone of military families. To celebrate them, we host a Spouse Spa Workshop where they can make DIY spa treatments and enjoy some well-deserved relaxation time.

July – Christmas in July Beat the heat with holiday cheer! Our Christmas in July event includes games, crafts, tasty snacks, and—if we’re lucky—a visit from the Jolly Man himself!

Winter – Whimsical Winter Wonderland One of our biggest events of the year! Families enjoy games, snacks, crafts, and even a special appearance from the “Mean One"—you know who we mean!

These events are free and open to military families—we’ll bring the supplies, you bring the smiles!
